Various Blackbodies with a large, uniform, extended-area emitter plate are used for thermal imaging camera calibration and focal plane array (FPA) detectors. Comes in a variety of emitter sizes and temperature ranges (-30 to 150ºC).
The BBS-EX-TE Series is a range of compact, high-performance extended area blackbody calibration sources designed for precise calibration of infrared measurement systems at low to moderate temperatures. These systems are ideal for calibrating thermal imaging cameras, infrared thermometers, and radiometric sensors, especially where a uniform surface temperature source is required.
With multiple models offering temperature ranges from -30°C to 150°C, the series provides flexibility for a wide range of applications including laboratory calibration, environmental testing, and industrial process validation. The different emitter sizes (2.5”, 3”, and 6”) allow users to match the calibration source to their measurement field requirements.
Engineered for accuracy and stability, the BBS-EX-TE series features high emissivity (0.96 ± 0.02), fast response times (<20 minutes), and NIST-traceable calibration accuracy (±0.2°C). The advanced multi-band PID control system ensures precise temperature regulation, while optional communication interfaces enable seamless integration into automated calibration setups.
