BBS1700

The Process Sensors BBS1700 Benchtop blackbody calibration source operates in a wide temperature range from 300°C to 1700°C (572°F to 3272°F). This blackbody calibration source provides a large 1-inch aperture with high accuracy and uniformity, long-term stability and a fast slew rate.

Description

The BBS1700 precision blackbody radiation source is used for calibration verification and calibration of non-contact infrared thermometers/pyrometers, thermal imaging detectors/cameras, focal plane array detectors, and heat flux meters. This versatile blackbody source is also ideal for use with collimators and for automated calibration test stations.

This blackbody calibration source provides a large 1-inch aperture, high accuracy and uniformity, long-term stability, and a fast slew rate.

The use of a precision digital self-tuning PID controller, a thermostatically controlled fan-cooled enclosure, and an emissivity greater than 0.99 makes this blackbody ideal for calibration in laboratories, universities, and manufacturing facilities.

Upon reaching the user-selectable set point temperature, the model BBS 1700 will stabilise and produce a temperature reading to within 0.5°C, assuring high accuracy calibration of non-contact infrared thermometers, thermal imaging camera systems, focal plane array detectors, spectro-photometers, etc.
