The BBS1500-38 is an adjustable-temperature blackbody source with a wide temperature range of 300°C to 1500°C (572°F to 2732°F) and a 38mm (1.49 in) aperture, capable of precise calibration of pyrometers and thermal imaging cameras with spot sizes of up to 1 inch. It outperforms other blackbodies on the market for heat-up time — reaching 1300°C in just 50 minutes.

With its cylindrical cavity providing uniform temperature radiation, and simultaneous display of set point and actual temperature values, this precision blackbody is reliable and simple to operate. It’s a highly stable calibration source providing automatic calibration, ideal for the calibration of short-wavelength pyrometers and thermal imaging cameras between 300°C and 1500°C — and its large aperture size allows for easy alignment between the blackbody and the device under test.
