PSC-56 Series Pyrometer

Multi-Sighting High-Resolution Pyrometer Series

The PSC-56 Series (PSC-SR56N two-colour and PSC-G56N/PSC-S56N one-colour) offers a choice of four sighting methods, high-resolution fixed focus optics and five temperature ranges from 200°C to 3200°C. A feature-rich choice for induction heating, kilns, composites, steel and welding applications.

Rich-Featured Pyrometer with Four Sighting Methods

Rich in features, the self-contained two-colour PSC-SR56N and one-colour PSC-G56N/PSC-S56N pyrometers offer a choice of four sighting methods, high-resolution fixed focus optics with small spot sizes, a digital RS485 communication interface, analogue 4-20mA output and a fast speed of response. Five temperature ranges span 200°C to 3200°C, with an on-board temperature display menu.

Choose from integrated laser aiming, through-lens sighting, real-time colour video camera sighting, or an electronic viewfinder that lets the user observe a real-time colourised video image of the process under measurement. As with all Process Sensors two- and one-colour models, the PSC-SR56N can also be used as a single-wavelength pyrometer.

Key Features

  • Choice of four sighting methods: laser, through-lens, video camera, or electronic viewfinder.
  • High-resolution fixed focus optics with small spot sizes.
  • 4-20mA analogue output plus RS-485 (galvanically isolated) Modbus RTU digital interface.
  • Durable, compact companion stainless steel cooling jacket with integrated air purge stands up to harsh environments.
  • All parameters adjustable via push-buttons on the sensor, or remotely via the free PSCSpot software with optional USB-to-RS485 adapter.

Applications

Ideal for induction heating, kilns, composites, sintering, steel and metals processing, vacuum furnaces and welding, as well as demanding research and development applications.
