The BBS-EX Series (BBS230-EX, BBS350-EX, and BBS500-EX) are high-performance extended area blackbody calibration sources designed for accurate calibration of infrared measurement systems over large target areas. These systems provide a uniform radiating surface, making them ideal for calibrating thermal imaging cameras, infrared thermometers, and large-field sensors in industrial, laboratory, and research environments.
With a large 12” × 12” emitter surface, the BBS-EX series ensures consistent and uniform radiation across wide measurement fields. Each model offers a different temperature range (up to 230°C, 350°C, or 500°C), allowing users to select the most suitable solution for their specific application requirements.
Engineered for precision, the series features high emissivity (0.96 ± 0.02), excellent stability (±0.1°C), and NIST-traceable accuracy, ensuring reliable and repeatable calibration results. The advanced multi-band PID control system maintains precise temperature regulation, while flexible communication interfaces (RS-232 and GPIB) enable easy system integration.
