The Capella C3 Series is a rugged handheld 1- and 2-colour IR thermometer bringing fixed-mount pyrometer performance to a portable form factor. With green laser and through-lens sighting, sub-millisecond response and temperature ranges from 250°C to 3300°C, it’s built for spot-checking metals, molten glass, furnaces and semiconductor applications.

The Capella C3 Series of hand-held, battery-operated 1- and 2-colour IR thermometers brings all the advanced measurement capabilities of PSC fixed-mounted pyrometers to the workplace in portable form. This rugged, incredibly accurate portable series offers green laser aiming and through-lens sighting, ultra-fast speed of response, and short-wave measurement precision for metals, molten glass, furnace refractory, kilns, ceramics, composites, and semiconductor wafers and susceptors. It covers temperature ranges from 250°C to 3300°C.

Applications
Short-wavelength portable IR thermometers (less than 3µm) like the Capella C3 are highly effective for metals and shiny-surface applications, including molten metals and crucibles, induction heating of metals, furnace applications, molten glass, semiconductor wafers, composites, ceramics, and spot measurements viewed through glass, quartz or sapphire windows into a vacuum furnace.
Software
PSC software supports analysis and data logging, with on-board audible and visible alarms for stronger user control in the field.
