PSC-PMB-Solo

Miniature Modbus-Networked IR Sensor

The PSC-PMB-Solo is a miniature, 1-colour digital pyrometer that connects directly to an RS-485 Modbus SCADA system or PLC, covering -20°C to 1000°C. Its 316 stainless steel construction and IP65 rating suit dirty, rusty or oily surfaces across paper, plastics, food and asphalt applications.

Miniature Network-Ready IR Temperature Sensor

The PSC-PMB-Solo is a 1-colour miniature digital sensor that can operate independently via RS-485 Modbus RTU and interface directly to a PLC. These miniature digital non-contact sensors may be connected directly to an RS485 Modbus SCADA system or PLC, making it possible to measure and monitor the temperature of thousands of locations on the same network.

Constructed of 316 grade stainless steel, the PSC-PMB-Solo is rated IP65, CE approved, and can operate at ambient temperatures up to 120°C without cooling apparatus. Its wide temperature range of -20°C to 1000°C makes it ideal for measurement of paper, thick plastics, food, asphalt, textiles, bulk and organic materials, liquids and painted metals — dirty, rusty or oily surfaces are easy measurements for the PSC-PMB-Solo.

Key Features

  • Direct RS-485 Modbus RTU connection to SCADA systems or PLCs — no separate interface hardware required.
  • Analogue and relay outputs available via separate DIN rail-mounted modules.
  • Configurable parameters (emissivity, response time, averaging) via PLC or optional PSC-PM180 touch screen display.
  • Three divergent optics choices: 2:1, 20:1, and 14:1 close focus.
  • 316 grade stainless steel construction, IP65 rated, CE approved.
  • Compact size allows placement in the tightest of spaces, ideal for OEM machinery integration.

Applications

Ideal for general-purpose and dull-surface applications, including paper, thick plastics, food, asphalt, textiles, bulk and organic materials, liquids and painted metals.
