  • DHR

    DHR

This digital handheld refractometer DHR by SCHMIDT + HAENSCH allows for rapid, on-site measurements of liquid substances with high or low viscosity.

The full view of the LCD screen of the DHR displays reliable results with high precision (five digits) in 2 seconds. SCHMIDT + HAENSCH’s DHR can be used in agriculture, e.g. to determine the point of harvest, or in the automotive industry, e.g. to analyze antifreeze.

  • ATR-BR

    ATR-BR

The SCHMIDT + HAENSCH ATR BR is a stand-alone, critical angle refractometer for measuring liquid media from low to high viscosity, independent of opacity and color. It is adaptable to different applications in production and laboratory thanks to a broad variety of configurations while having an excellent price-performance ratio.

  • ATR-L

    ATR-L

Multiple wavelength digital refractometer for dispersion measurements.

The digital, fully automatic spectral refractometer ATR-L consists of an electronic unit separated from the stainless steel measuring unit. Dispersion measurement at 7 wavelengths over the full visible range. A sample volume of 0,3 ml is sufficient for measuring. The refractometer is equipped with a Peltier thermostat (no external water bath/thermostat necessary).

The digital multiple wavelength refractometer of SCHMIDT + HAENSCH is based on CCD-sensor detection of the critical angle of total reflection. This is done sequentially for all LEDs (colours) and displayed as refractive indices according to these wavelengths. SCHMIDT + HAENSCH has the necessary data basis for calibration of such an instrument through research work performed at its premises in Berlin.

    • High-precision refractometer
    • Automatic dispersion measurement
    • Seven wavelengths fixed
    • Automatic ABBE number measurement
    • Ideal for research and development

  • ATR-P

    ATR-P

The robust ATR P critical angle refractometer is especially designed for applications in the sugar industry and for the determination of mixing ratios or mass fraction. The system consists of the robust and waterproof ATR P measuring head made from stainless steel and the VariControl unit with a high resolution 7″ TFT Touchscreen.

    Easy to Use

Like all SCHMIDT + HAENSCH instruments, this refractometer is easy in handling while providing highly accurate and reproducible measuring results. Depending on its application, ATR P allows for both single and flow-through measurement. The measuring head can be placed both vertically and horizontally with respect to the sample chamber. As the measuring head can either be used in a horizontal or vertical position, liquid samples containing solid matter can be measured, making the ATR P well-suited for quality control of liquids such as fruit juice.

Calibration can be performed easily using a sucrose solution. The ATR P measuring head can be easily connected to a PC or laptop. As always, the proven SCHMIDT + HAENSCH quality includes documentation according to GLP/GMP. Furthermore, the integrated Aquisys 2 software guarantees 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

    Product in depth

The high-performance robust ATR P critical angle refractometer is designed for applications in the sugar industry, especially for the determination of mixing ratios (mass percent). The complete system consists of the robust and waterproof ATR P measuring head made from stainless steel and VariControl unit with a high resolution 7″ TFT Touchscreen. Due to the user friendliness and the easy handling highly accurate and reproducible measuring results can be rapidly generated. Various sample chamber covers allow single or flow-through measurement. As the measuring head can either be used in a horizontal or vertical position relative to sample, sedimenting samples can also be measured with high precision making the ATR P applicable to quality control of liquids like fruit juice. Easy calibration can be performed with a sucrose solution. As an alternative to the VariControl unit, the ATR P measuring head can be connected to a PC or laptop. As always, the proven SCHMIDT + HAENSCH quality includes documentation according to GLP/GMP. Furthermore, the integrated Aquisys 2 software guarantees 21 CFR Part 11 conformity.
