Newton X2P

Pulsed X-Ray Fill Level Control

The miho Newton X2P checks fill level for underfilling in bottles, cartons and beverage cans using pulsed X-ray technology, regardless of product, label or metal foil. Low radiation and a broad spectrum of applications make it suitable even for foaming products.

Fill Level Control (Pulsed X-Ray Technology)

The miho Newton X2P checks fill level for any underfilling in containers such as bottles, carton packaging and beverage cans, regardless of the product or the label — metal foil is also possible. It offers a broad spectrum of applications, with even foaming products able to be controlled.

The measurement is based on X-ray technology specifically developed for this purpose, with minimum radiation exposure since pulsed X-ray radiation is only generated during the short moment of measurement. The radiation emission is typically below the naturally occurring levels found in enclosed spaces.

Key Features

  • Pulsed X-ray technology — low radiation.
  • Works with any container type, any product.
  • Handles foaming products.
  • Compatible with metal foil-lined containers.
  • Comprehensive statistics for individual fault types.
  • Serial fault detection implemented.
  • Connection to external production data acquisition system possible.
  • Handwheel height adjustment for bottle type changes.

Applications

Typically installed at the filler outfeed or labelling machine outfeed — ideal for verifying fill level on containers that are difficult to inspect optically or with HF/IR methods, such as opaque cans, cartons, or foil-lined packaging.
