Box Compression Tester (BCT)

The Validator™ is a machine to perform compression and resistance tests on boxes, containers and packaging. Validator™ models are the industry standard for determining the ultimate compression strength and long-term stacking ability of boxes, bulk containers and pallets.

• Fixed (TAPPI) and oscillating (ISO) top plate system.
• Force resolution: 0.3N.
• Plate displacement resolution: 0.001mm.
• Force reading in N, kg and lb; strain reading in mm and inches.
• Automatic return to initial test position.
• Test speeds: 1–350mm/min.
• RS-232 output interface.
• Testing software with basic statistics for BCT (constant speed), Stacking (constant load) and cycling tests.
• Compatible with the T-LAB Laboratory Management System.

Applications

Suitable for corrugated and compact board cases and boxes, moulded cellulose trays, plastic packing and containers, metal packing and containers, board and plastic tubes, and wooden boxes. Meets ASTM D642/D2659-16/D4169/D4577/D7030, DIN 55440-1, FEFCO 50, ISO 12048/16495, ISTA Series, UNE 137001/11093-9:2011, TAPPI T804, NF H13-001 and 49 CFR 178.606.
