The PFI Mill is a PFI-type laboratory refiner for refining pulp under standardised conditions, even for defiberisation of semi-cooked fibres. Its stainless steel refining mill and cylindrical container handle 5-40g of pulp with adjustable refining pressure from 1.0 to 5.5 N/mm of cutting blade length.
PFI-type laboratory refiner, designed to refine pulp under standardised conditions and even for the defiberisation of semi-cooked fibres. The refining mill and cylindrical container are made of stainless steel, capable of refining between 5 and 40g of pulp at a concentration of 5 to 50% (max. 450ml of suspension).
Widely used for laboratory beating of chemical pulps under standardised conditions, simulating commercial refining practices to characterise pulp performance ahead of paper conversion. Meets ISO 5264/2 and TAPPI T248.
