Sealing Surface Inspection with Camera Illumination

The miho TOP-Cam is a free-flow camera illumination unit for inspecting container features located on the top, bottom or shoulder — including sealing surface inspection with RGB colour lighting. No container alignment is necessary, and the inspection is carried out by a colour camera together with an application-specific high-power LED lighting system.

Inspection Criteria

The containers can be checked for the following criteria, among others:

• Detection not only of external but also of internal damage, thanks to special triple ring lighting (RGB) with colour camera image recording.
• Control of container features such as best-before date and lot number on the shoulder of glass containers.
• Tightness verification for swing-top bottles.
