VHDT-30

VICAT/HDT Softening Point Tester

The VHDT-30 VICAT/HDT Tester determines VICAT softening point and heat deflection temperature (HDT) in thermoplastic materials, working from ambient to +250°C with ±0.2°C accuracy. Its stainless steel bath design ensures perfect thermal exchange for reliable quality control and R&D testing.

VICAT / HDT Softening Point Tester

Laboratory test equipment for the determination of the VICAT softening point and HDT (heat deflection temperature) in thermoplastic materials. This testing equipment is very effective in quality control and research and development work.

The bath interior is in stainless steel, with the interior volume design studied to ensure a perfect thermal exchange, both heating and cooling. In the VICAT test, weights of 1 or 5kg can be selected; for the HDT test, load selection is based on required fibre stress.
