Preform & Bottle Measuring System

The PBMS is an automatic instrument for testing the general dimensions of preforms and bottles, PET and glass. The instrument is designed according to the principle of confocal and optical chromatic refraction, using optical multi-lens and segmented imaging with multi-segment parallel light to illuminate the preform or bottle and obtain a complete contour image.

The contour is extracted with high-precision definition, ensuring it isn’t distorted and measurement accuracy is maintained. By rotating the preform and analysing the variation of refraction and reflection as light passes through it, the thickness variation of the preform is also calculated.
