The FIT2000A Impact Drop Tower determines impact resistance of plastic pipes via free-fall impact head testing, handling projectiles up to 16kg from a 3-metre drop height. Its touchscreen electromechanical lifting system allows push-button programming of drop height for repeatable, reproducible impact testing.
The FIT2000A Impact Drop Tower is used for the determination of impact resistance of plastic pipes by the free fall of an impact head. It’s configured with interchangeable striking noses of differing diameters, radiuses and masses, delivering many years of repeatable and reproducible impact testing.
The FIT2000A is an advanced touchscreen-controlled Impact Drop Tower with an electromechanical lifting system. The supporting framework is made from robust and stiff aluminium and steel, adjustable to ensure the drop tower is precisely level. Specimen holders are adjustable to ensure correct positioning and drop height.
Ideal for determining the impact resistance of plastic pipes and materials under standardised free-fall testing conditions, suited to laboratories and quality control environments requiring repeatable impact data.
