CF-05 Bauer McNett

Bauer McNett Fibre Classifier

The CF-05 Bauer McNett Fibre Classifier determines the length distribution of cellulosic paper fibres by classification, using 5 sorting stations from ASTM 16 to 200 mesh. Its stainless steel construction with vacuum-assisted drainage and safety enclosure meets PAPTAC C.5V, SCAN M6 and TAPPI T233.

Bauer McNett Fibre Classifier

Equipment to determine the distribution in length of the cellulosic fibres of paper by classification. Fibre length is a fundamental property of pulp — the Bauer McNett fibre classifier consists of narrow tanks mounted in a cascade arrangement, with a vertical cylindrical agitator rotating near one end of each tank to cause the suspension to flow horizontally across each screen.

Key Features

  • Manufactured in stainless steel.
  • Each classifying unit equipped with a stirring motor.
  • Easy replacement screen frames.
  • Vacuum pump to accelerate drainage at the end of the test.
  • Protection cabin (aluminium profile and transparent polycarbonate walls).
  • CE marked.

Standard Version Supply (5 Stations)

  • 1st Station: ASTM 16 mesh.
  • 2nd Station: ASTM 30 mesh.
  • 3rd Station: ASTM 50 mesh.
  • 4th Station: ASTM 100 mesh.
  • 5th Station: ASTM 200 mesh.

Note: other mesh openings can be supplied.

Applications

Essential for pulp mills and paper manufacturers needing to characterise fibre length distribution, meeting TAPPI T233, SCAN M6 and PAPTAC C.5V standards.
