Leonardo SFM

Segment Reject System

The miho Leonardo SFM is a newly developed finger rejector for upright rejection of all types of cylindrical containers, using up to 24 electromagnetically driven segment fingers instead of compressed air. This reduces air consumption, smooths movement in both directions, and cuts wear.

Segment Reject System for Upright Container Rejection

The miho Leonardo SFM is miho’s newly developed finger rejector for the upright rejection of all types of cylindrical containers. Its innovation lies in how the up to 24 segment fingers are driven — not pneumatically by compressed air, but electromagnetically. This reduces compressed air consumption in the filling line, saving money, while allowing smoother, more controlled movement in both directions for less wear.

The Multi-Segment Rejector is an ideal system for upright rejection or sorting of empty containers. Thanks to its 24 rejection segments, which fold in and out quickly, faulty and unsuitable containers can be rejected easily without touching the preceding or following containers. Distribution of empty and filled containers is also possible with this system, and it’s suitable for serial installations — several rejection systems arranged one after another to guide containers into multiple channels.

Key Features

  • Upright rejection on a parallel track.
  • Electromagnetic actuator — no compressed air required.
  • Compact design.
  • Up to 24 segment fingers, folding in and out quickly.
  • Suitable for serial installations to guide containers into multiple channels.

Applications

Ideal for beverage bottling lines needing precise upright rejection or sorting of empty containers without contact with adjacent bottles, while reducing compressed air costs and mechanical wear.
