The ATR L is a robust, multi-wavelength refractometer performing simple dispersion measurements at seven wavelengths across the full visible range, based on CCD-sensor detection of the critical angle of total reflection. Powerful internal Peltier temperature control guarantees fast, highly accurate measurements with just 0.3mL sample volume.
SCHMIDT + HAENSCH proudly presents the ATR L — a robust, multi-wavelength refractometer capable of performing simple dispersion measurements at seven wavelengths over the full visible range. The digital, fully automatic spectral refractometer consists of an electronic unit separated from the robust stainless steel measuring unit.
As the measurement principle is also sensitive to absorption, measurements not only deliver information about analyte content but also provide valuable data on colour and turbidity.
The ATR L can be used to determine product purity, ideally suited for controlling sample quality, and material characterisation to identify high-quality products like perfumes, wine or other alcoholic beverages. As it can measure solid samples, quality control of hydrophobic and hydrophilic intraocular lenses (IOL) is also possible.
Further applications include R&D, medical research, plastic lenses, contact lenses, proteins, communication technology, polymer materials, special optical liquids, glasses and glues. In the petrochemical industry, the ATR L supports scientific research and standard ASTM measurements.
