PSC-GRF11N

Low-Temperature Fibre Optic Two-Colour Pyrometer

The PSC-GRF11N is a fibre optic two-color pyrometer designed for lower starting temperatures from 300°C, with a fast 5ms response and immunity to high magnetic fields. Ideal for induction heating, heat treating, steel, composites and ceramics applications.

Precision Fibre Optic Two-Colour Pyrometer

The PSC-GRF11N is a digital ratio (two-colour) pyrometer designed for lower starting temperature measurements beginning at 300°C (572°F). Four temperature ranges are offered: 300 to 1100°C, 350 to 1300°C, 400 to 1600°C, and 500 to 2300°C. It operates in ambient temperatures up to 250°C (482°F) and is immune to the high magnetic frequencies encountered in manufacturing facilities.

Independent of emissivity and suited to a wide range of demanding industrial applications — including induction heating, heat treating, steel, composites, ceramics and semiconductor processes — the fast 5ms response time of the PSC-GRF11N is ideal for quick measurement processes.

Key Features

  • Selection of variable-focus fibre optic lenses provides small spot sizes from 0.7mm in diameter.
  • Integrated laser provides precision aiming onto the centre of the target.
  • Linear 4-20mA temperature output simplifies installation into existing measurement and control systems.
  • Galvanically isolated RS-485 Modbus RTU interface allows parameter setting and software evaluation in bus systems.
  • Rugged, flexible stainless steel fibre optic cable and lens assembly for demanding environmental conditions.
  • Brightly coloured on-board temperature display, easily viewed at a distance even in less-than-ideal conditions.

Software

All sensor parameters are entered using push buttons and displayed on the electronics housing. The operator-friendly PSCSpot for Windows software supports parameterisation and software evaluation from a PC.
