The CDM-5 Samples Crush Tester performs compression strength tests on standardised paper and corrugated cardboard samples (RCT, CMT, CCT, CLT, ECT, FCT, PAT), covering up to 5kN (10kN option). Its robust load cell design delivers 0.1N reading resolution with full testing software for basic statistics.

The CDM-5 is a samples crush tester used to perform compression strength tests on standardised samples of paper (liner and medium) and corrugated cardboard, covering tests such as RCT, CMT, CCT, CLT, ECT, FCT and PAT.

- Maximum force capacity: 5kN (alternatively 10kN).
- Useful size of compression plates: 150 x 150mm.
- Maximum separation between compression plates: 140mm.
- 1 load cell on the upper fixed and parallel plate.
- Reading resolution: 0.1N.
- Force reading in N, kg and lb; strain reading in mm and inches.
- Automatic return at 100mm/min.
- RS-232 output interface with converter to USB.
- Testing software with basic statistics for RCT, CMT, CCT, CLT, ECT, FCT and PAT tests.
- Compatible with the T-LAB Laboratory Management System.
Applications
Suitable for packaging paper (liner and fluting), corrugated board, board boxes and board packaging — meeting ECT standards including APPITA/AS 1301.444s, FEFCO 8, ISO 3037, ISO 13821, SCAN P33 and TAPPI T811/T823/T838/T839.
