The COBB CT Series Tester determines the water absorption capacity of paper and corrugated cardboard using a quick spring-clamping system, with sample test areas of 100, 50, 25 or 10cm² depending on model. Its stainless steel construction with soft rubber sealing gasket prevents lateral water seepage.
Equipment to determine the water absorption capacity of paper and corrugated cardboard, featuring a quick clamping grip. The quick clamping system secures the sample by spring, ready for rapid, repeatable testing.
Widely used across the paper, board, printing and converting industries to determine the amount of water absorbed by a sample over a given time period (typically 60 or 180 seconds), quoted in g/m². Absorbency has a significant effect on the performance and printability of water-based adhesives. Suitable for corrugated board and solid board applications. Meets DIN 53132, EN 535:2014, FEFCO 7, ISO 535, NF Q-03-018, NF Q-03-035, SCAN P12 and TAPPI T441.
