The SR-10 Manual Freeness Tester determines the degree of refining and drainage speed of paper fibres by the Schopper-Riegler method, with robust design and easy operation and cleaning. Manual activation of the release and closing system delivers direct SR-degree readings from the graduated glass.
Manual equipment for determining the degree of refining and the speed of drainage of paper fibres by the “Schopper-Riegler” method. The Schopper-Riegler test quickly provides an idea of the degree of refining related to the drainage rate of a dilute pulp suspension — drainage speed is related to surface conditions and fibre dilation, and is a useful indicator of the mechanical treatment (refining) applied to cellulose pulp.
Applicable to all types of paper pulp in aqueous suspension (except extremely short fibre pulps), essential for pulp mills assessing refining progress. Meets BS 6035/1, ISO 5267/1, NF Q 50-003 and SCAN C 19/M3.
