iCS² Concentration Sensor

Compact In-Line Concentration Sensor

The iCS² is a compact, customisable in-line concentration sensor stripped down for space-critical environments, continuously monitoring cooling lubricants, antifreeze and other fluids without interruption or cleaning. It integrates directly into your PLC via RS485 Modbus or RS-232 interface.

Compact In-Line Concentration Sensor

The iCS² inline process sensor stands for reliable and continuous concentration measurement in the smallest of spaces — ideal for use in ongoing processes with cooling lubricants, antifreeze and many other substances. Thanks to its compact design, the sensor can be installed quickly and easily, working reliably and continuously without interruptions and without the need for cleaning.

The customisable concentration sensor opens up a new field of miniaturisation for process instruments — the actual sensor is roughly the size of a golf ball. Its design requires fewer parts, resulting in a highly efficient and compact construction. As a true sensor, it can be used in applications that conventional refractometers can’t meet, including minimal volumes, space-limited installations, or mobile operation.

Key Features

  • Compact, customisable design — approximately golf-ball sized sensor.
  • Continuous, uninterrupted concentration measurement.
  • Robust insensitivity to ambient light and dirt.
  • Virtually maintenance-free operation.
  • Direct PLC connection via RS485 Modbus RTU or RS-232 interface.
  • Integrated temperature measurement, cleanliness control and filling level detection for self-monitoring.
  • Individually programmable to your desired measuring range.

Applications

Ideal for continuous, real-time monitoring of cooling lubricants, cutting oils, antifreeze (ethylene/propylene glycol) and other process fluids in space-critical or heavily contaminated environments where conventional refractometers aren’t practical.
