The Metis H3 Series is an ultra-high-speed pyrometer (response as fast as 40µs) available in 1- and 2-colour versions, covering 120°C to 3300°C. Built for laser welding, laser heating and annealing applications where near real-time temperature feedback controls the process.
The Metis H3 Series is an ultra-high-speed pyrometer series, available in 1- and 2-colour wavelength versions, covering temperature ranges from 120°C to 3300°C. High-speed pyrometers of the Metis H3 series measure temperatures many times faster than traditional IR temperature sensors, delivering all the advantages of digital data processing while maintaining high accuracy with high-speed outputs via analogue and digital circuitry.
The H3 series measures temperature directly at the laser welding spot, with the analogue or digital output used to control laser power and maintain the required temperature level — a unique, stand-alone concept in a compact design for combined temperature measurement and laser control.
SensorTools software is used for measurement and recording for evaluation purposes, supporting both fully autonomous operation and remote-control commands via existing systems.
Purpose-built for laser welding, laser heating, annealing, cladding and other applications requiring near real-time temperature feedback to control process equipment.
