Thermoelectric Extended-Area Blackbody Calibration Source

The BBS-EX-TE series are thermoelectric extended-area blackbody sources for calibrating IR thermometers and thermal imaging cameras, covering -30°C to 150°C across four emitter sizes from 2.5" to 6". A solid copper emitter plate delivers excellent uniformity and emissivity above 0.95 from 0.8 to 30µm.

Excellent BBS Emitter Uniformity

The BBS-EX-TE Extended Area Blackbody series are thermoelectric (TE) temperature extended-area calibration sources for IR thermometers and cameras. The solid copper emitter plate provides excellent uniformity and emissivity, greater than 0.95 across the 0.8–30µm wavelength range. The series includes a separate digital controller for precise set point management.

Four Models to Suit Your Application

  • BBS75-EX-TE-2.5: -30°C to 75°C, 2.5" x 2.5" emitter.
  • BBS145-EX-TE-2.5: -5°C to 145°C, 2.5" x 2.5" emitter.
  • BBS145-EX-TE-3: -5°C to 145°C, 3" x 3" emitter.
  • BBS150-EX-TE-6: 5°C to 150°C, 6" x 6" emitter — the largest area in the range, ideal for wide field-of-view thermal imaging cameras.

Applications

Ideal for calibrating thermal imaging cameras and focal plane array (FPA) detectors in the low-to-moderate temperature range, where a large, uniform emitter area is needed to fill the sensor’s field of view.
