The STG-1 Seam Thickness Gauge precisely measures can seam thickness, covering 0-5mm at 0.01mm resolution. Its auto-centering function corrects for seam deformation after cutting, giving true actual seam thickness values beyond what a double seam projector alone can show.
AT2E’s STG-1 Seam Thickness Gauge is used to measure the seam thickness of cans. Its easy-operation design offers fast, accurate measurement, with measure angle compensation and an adjusted centre measure point so the can can be auto-positioned in the centre easily during measuring. The gauge is applicable to different kinds of cans.
When using a double seam projector, the seam structure may have a slight deformation after being cut by the seaming cutting saw, so the seam thickness measured on the projector will have a certain deviation. Using the seam thickness gauge, the actual seam thickness value can be measured directly — eliminating that deviation.
Essential for maintaining high standards in can manufacturing, giving quality teams a true, undeformed measurement of seam thickness for accurate quality control.
